Terms of use

ochem.duel is a free organic chemistry practice game. By signing in you confirm you are at least 16 and agree to these terms.

Play fair. Don’t use offensive, hateful, sexual or impersonating nicknames, don’t harass other players, and don’t submit fake scores or use automated tools to play or to submit scores.

Moderation. Nicknames are filtered automatically, and players can report a nickname. After several reports a player is hidden from leaderboards until reviewed. We may rename, hide or remove any nickname, score or account at our discretion.

No affiliation. School names appear only to show which school a player signed in from. ochem.duel is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any school or university.

No guarantees. The game and its chemistry content are provided as is, for practice only. Answers and explanations may contain mistakes, so check your textbook or instructor. Leaderboards are for fun and are not official. We may change or shut down the service at any time.

Privacy

What we collect. Your school email address (to send you a sign-in code and to work out your school from its domain), the nickname you choose, your school, your scores with their dates, and any reports you file or that are filed about you. Your browser also stores your sign-in session and your best score on your own device.

What others can see. Your nickname, school and scores appear on leaderboards. In a duel room, other players see your nickname, school and live score. Your email address is never shown to other players. Please don’t use your real name as a nickname.

Who handles it. We use service providers to run the game: Supabase (accounts and database), Resend (sign-in emails) and Cloudflare (website hosting and DNS). They process data for us and may keep standard technical logs. We don’t sell your data, show ads, or run advertising or third-party analytics trackers.

Keeping and deleting. We keep your data until you delete your account. In the game, open your profile and choose “Delete my account” to permanently remove your profile, scores and reports you filed. Copies in backups may persist for a short time. You can also email us to ask what we hold about you or to have it deleted.

Age. The game is for people 16 and older. If we learn that someone younger has an account, we will delete it.

Changes. If these terms or this policy change in a meaningful way, we will update the date above.
